He believes in blending careful planning with creativity to create news hooks that cut through the clutter and draw the attention of media. He has spent his career serving the media needs of major corporations, financial institutions and industry associations by creating and executing highly successful media and outreach campaigns.
He served as Director of Public Relations for Goodyear Canada from 1985 to 1989, where he helped launch the Molson Indy in Toronto, introduced Canadian media and race fans to the Goodyear airships and executed the largest public relations special event in Canada's history; a plant ground breaking ceremony attended by national media and more than 25,000 spectators.
Since 1989, he has served a diverse group of clients including: RoyNat Inc., a subsidiary of the Bank of Nova Scotia, TNT Express Worldwide; Goodyear Canada; Rockwell Automation, Imperial Oil, ICI Chemicals, Allen Bradley Automation, The Ontario Federation of Agriculture, The Beef Information Centre, Fountain Tire, The Putting Edge and Ontario Power Generation.
Awards include: a CPRS Award of Excellence (1983) for outstanding work in internal communications and an IABC Gold Quill (1990) for executive speech writing and the Mona MacGregor Award (1997) for outstanding contributions to mathematics education by a non-educator.
