Feeding Olympic Athletes

 

Sodexo’s global headquarters is based in Paris, so it was a fitting role to be the food service provider for over 15,000 athletes at the 2024 Olympic Games. The anticipation and detailed planning were of interest across the globe.

It was challenging to communicate proactively about Sodexo Canada’s role in the Games as the company was not an official sponsor. Regardless, media were highly interested in reporting on the food and meal plans. Local spokespeople shared messaging about the company’s goals related to sustainability, taste, nutrition and variety. National pick-up in House and Home as well as the Toronto Star were shared broadly. CBC also shared many stories as part of their official coverage of the Games. Go Canada!
