Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA) advocates for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG)
In response to the horrific murders of four Indigenous women in Winnipeg, the team at ONWA coordinated an advocacy campaign to raise awareness of the significant work being done – and the support that is desperately needed – to end the ongoing genocide of Indigenous women and girls. ONWA Executive Director, Cora McGuire-Cyrette, was interviewed by several media outlets and shared thoughts on what needs to be done and why time is of the essence.
