Industry-wide transition to sustainable food

Sodexo Canada released the results of its second Sustainable Food Barometer. The latest research reveals the majority of consumers are already on this journey and expect an industry-wide, multi-strategy approach in navigating the Canadian transition to a more sustainable diet. However, two thirds continue to list price as the top hurdle to change, misbelieving that sustainable options typically cost more.

Xposure PR developed a nation-wide media campaign using Leger survey data and international comparisons, identifying current habits, perceptions, and challenges, as well as key approaches needed in continuing the collective shift towards more sustainable diets. Articles appeared in the Globe and Mail, Canadian Grocer and Food Service and Hospitality, with Op-Eds placed in the Brandon Sun.

We respectfully acknowledge that we live, work, and volunteer on the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. Burlington, as we know it today, is mutually covered by the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Iroquois Confederacy, the Ojibway, and other allied Nations to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. From the Anishinaabeg to the Haudenosaunee, and the Métis, Xposure PR offers gratitude, honour, and respect. Our work is not possible without the generations of Indigenous people who came before us and continue on this shared journey towards truth and reconciliation.
